Graduation Announcements, Party Invitations, Graduation Thank You Notes and More!

Got spring fever? While some may want to avoid the pollen and just stay inside, there’s a lot going on this time of year that you won’t want to miss. Summer plans have begun, but the school year isn’t over yet (unfortunately for those plagued by senior-itis, myself included). The only way to stay energized in this hectic time is to look forward to all the exciting things to come.

Planning a graduation party can be a lot of fun, and the party itself is typically a great experience. For my high school graduation, all of the guests filled out slips of paper with their guesses where I would be in ten years. Embarrassing, but fun, and I still cherish these little notations today.

Preparing graduation announcements can be fun too!  At Letterbox Press, it’s our second busiest time of year (next to Christmas!), and we have a lot of new 2012 designs to choose from (and some returning favorites from 2011).  Check out these savvy styles…

Letterbox Press can customize school colors and design ideas at no additional cost. Plus, combining the announcement and invitation on one card is a great cost-saver.  Check out more styles on our website. And don’t forget to order personalized thank you notes in your school colors – a great gift idea for graduates!

Just remember LBP’s deadline for graduation materials is April 27th!!! Spring is a great time to be an early bird…

Congratulations to all the hard working 2012 grads out there!

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” – The Great Gatsby

Let’s face it: fall can be hectic. The lazy days of summer have passed. The holidays are just around the corner (okay, maybe a block or two away, but definitely in sight!). But by now, we’re ready for some excitement – like that spicy burning smell in the air that puts a skip in your evening stroll, these early weeks of fall are easily some of the most exciting days of the year. Goodbye to sunburns and sweat! The weather is tantalizing us with indecision and wreaking havoc on our wardrobes, alternating between hot, sunny days and crisp, bright snaps of fall chill in the evening.

Luckily, soon enough the weather will settle down with the entrance of October’s cool golden charm and the outdoors will be decorated with some of the most beautiful colors of the year. It might be hard for the interior world to measure up to that , but it’s always fun to try to bring some of that beauty inside your home as well.

First step: get inspired by this beautiful fall photoshoot from NK Photography!

Then, the Hickory Furniture Blog posts some great fall decorating ideas about bringing those warm, inviting tones into your home with delicate, balanced color schemes.

Planning a fall get together? Even if you’re not quite ready for Halloween, there’s nothing wrong with celebrating the harvest and preparing to welcome in some of the warmer elements of fall to your book club, bunco group, etc. Party World has some fun decorating ideas including paper lanterns and leaf cut-outs!

Something as simple as placemats and candles can add a soothing autumnal vibe to any basic room. On Savvy Seasons, Liz has a new video showing how to make fall candle holders with beans with her adorable daughter.

Autumn also ushers in a whole new array of golden, rich flavors and spicy treats. When I think of fall foods, I think of butternut squash, pumpkins, red apples, and sweet potatoes. And this recipe for sweet potato gnocchi with ghouda cheese sauce fits right in with my tastes…

While Starbucks’s pumpkin lattes are my go-to fall treat, as September is National Honey Month, I’m thinking of  experimenting with adding honey to some of my favorite fall recipes instead of sugar. There are many health benefits to this as well as the addition of a unique, delicious flavor. And it’s so soothing when getting over those back-to-school colds. Honey works especially well in hot chai teas (latte or not), added to honey and lavender french toast, or even in savory dishes.

Although some of the busiest months of the year are coming up, make sure to spend some time sipping on hot cider and relaxing with a blanket and a good book, appreciating the whisper of a fall breeze hesitantly knocking on your windows. Don’t forget that Letterbox Press still has a CONTEST up and running – simply Like our Facebook page your name will be entered in a contest for 60 Free Holiday Photo Cards! Drawing will be held October 15!

We’re also running a SPECIAL on personalized stickers for birthday gifts, lunch sacks, note books (basically anything a mom of young kids would want to label) and the price is 2 for 1 (2 dozen for $6 – such a deal!).

Happy Fall!

How to Host the HOTTEST Summer Party!

There’s something about early summer that just aches for celebration. It’s time to relax by the pool, hang out with old friends, and sip pink lemonade on your porch or on the beach. And if you (like me) are on a budget this summer, and you can’t vacation nearly as you would like, a great way to bring the vacation home is to host a summer party. Buy a new towel, maybe a colorful floaty or two, and make a splash!

Beach themed pool parties are simple to throw and always a lot of fun. It’s a great excuse to make refreshing, summery drinks. One of my favorites is the “Cranberry Fizz”,which is mix of cranberry juice and lemonade…or with cranberry liqueur (instead of juice) and a dash of white rum if you so choose. Delicious!

Summer parties are perfect for kids because this time of year offers so many opportunities outside where they’ll have fun without making a huge mess. A great idea we saw was a party at an Environmental Center, which is a simple way to get kids excited about learning in a fun and active way:

Also, it’s hard to believe, but 4th of July is just around the corner! Luckily, that means there’s another opportunity to get creative with patriotic festivities. One of my favorite blogs for party planning of all varieties is Celebrations at Home.  There’s even a recent post featuring an “All American” Backyard Picnic! The photos of the ice cream cookie dessert table are mouth-watering. All together, the end result is an adorable aesthetic look that evokes nostalgic memories of relaxed, all-American fun.

I love the glass bottles and red, white, and blue pinwheels. Simple details and vintage style really make a party memorable and unique.

Decorating can be super easy, especially for 4th of July when there’s a color scheme to follow! A bright tablecloth is a good place to start. Next, Bella Grace Party Designs provides some adorable 4th of July free printables that are perfect for stickers on jars of jam (or cupcakes-in-a-jar!), gift tags, or can even be used for scrap booking purposes later. Cute and easy.

Of course, the invitation is also important as the first step of party planning! Everyone loves getting invitations, and you’ll want to be sure that the invitation suits your party’s style. We’ve been busy working on lots of new invitations that make us really excited to throw the perfect summer party.

Check out letterbox.com for more! We also have a special on bag tags, which are fun to use as goody bags/party favors so guests can attach them to their summer beach bags and travel gear.

Let us know below how you celebrate your summer….we’d love to see your photos!

Graduation Season!

Spring has officially sprung! Here in Georgia that means we’re already starting to feel the summer heat, and as the end of the school year winds down, everyone is busier than ever! At Letterbox Press, we’re offering graduation announcements  and invitations to help make this crazy time a bit more organized. You can find all of our graduation stationery here on our website, and even choose custom colors (like school colors!) for the theme. The graduation invites can include a student’s cool picture and the date and time of a graduation party…

We also offer an easy gift idea for graduates that we call “Cash & Tags” – custom luggage tags that could be presented with a gift of cash or a gift card. This is a wonderful way to add a personal touch to your monetary gift, and the tags are great for sports bags, back packs and all that luggage the grad will be packing for college.

A few other trendy ideas include personalized “to do” calendars (an important tool for any college freshman!), note cards, networking cards, and note pads that also make great gifts. Be sure to check out all of our high school/college products up on our website!

Last but not least, thank you cards are a must to help you show your gratitude after the big event! Check out a few styles below… and Congrats to the Class of 2011!

Our new blog!

Just like the nostalgic pleasure of sending and receiving letters, blogging is another fun way to keep in touch with clients while providing updates from the world of stationary design.

Letterbox Press provides custom invitations for weddings, graduations, baby announcements and theme parties, as well as personalized stationery products for every day. We design unique styles for customers who enjoy sending hand-written notes and custom invitations. We also offer a design service to brides who want to design their own invitation so that it looks like no other.

We’re excited to share our latest idea… “Nearly Wed Cards” – fun, trendy business cards for couples who are in the midst of wedding plans. These cards are great for giving to photographers, cake vendors, florists, etc., and they can incorporate color schemes that match your wedding’s unique theme, as well as pertinent information about your wedding. They’re a clever way to leave a lasting impression on all those vendors you’re meeting!
